Hydraulic Filters

A hydraulic filter or hydraulic oil filter is a filter element used in the hydraulic system of internal combustion engines. Hydraulics are used in inboard engines to operate many different mechanical components such as control valves, cylinders, pistons, and more.

The hydraulic filter works by filtering the hydraulic oil flowing in the hydraulic system, which includes impurities, sediment, fine particles and various dirt. The hydraulic filter is usually composed of different layers of filter material such as paper, fiberglass and stainless steel, and is usually installed in the oil stream that flows into the hydraulic system.

The hydraulic filter filters the hydraulic oil from impurities, sediments and fine particles, which ensures the operation of mechanical parts with high efficiency and maintains a longer life of the engine. When the contamination level of the hydraulic filter exceeds the safe limit, it must be replaced with a new filter according to the manufacturer's recommendations, to ensure continued protection of the hydraulic system and optimum performance.
