Oil Filter

An oil filter is a filter element used in internal combustion engines to purify the oil that flows into the engine. The oil filter filters the oil from impurities, sediment and fine particles that must be removed to ensure a longer life and higher engine efficiency.

The oil filter is made of different layers of filter material such as cloth, paper, fiberglass and stainless steel. An oil filter is usually installed at the end of the oil stream that flows from the oil pump, and before the oil enters sensitive parts of the engine such as bearings, valves, pistons and cylinders.

The oil filter works by filtering the oil from impurities and fine particles that accumulate in it, which keeps the oil clean and ensures a longer engine life and higher performance efficiency. When the level of contamination in the oil filter exceeds the safe limit, it must be replaced with a new filter according to the manufacturer's recommendations, in order to ensure continued engine protection and optimum performance.
